Job Summary
Perform initial injury assessments, refer athletes as needed, grant participation clearances, apply protective devices, and report recovery progress. Collaborate with physicians for rehab programs, provide care, and teach in the Kinesiology department's Athletic Training program.
Duties:
Lead athletic trainer for men's and women's sports, overseeing injury prevention and treatment.
Manage Assistant Athletic Trainers, insurance claims, facilities, and alcohol/drug prevention.
Provide medical coverage, injury prevention, and emergency assessment.
Ensure compliance with NCAA, Conference, and TX regulations.
Travel with teams, coordinate athletic health care, and complete NCAA reports.
Uphold NCAA, University, and departmental rules. Report and cooperate on NCAA violations.
