Job Summary

Sport Operations Interns: The 2025 National Senior Games is seeking students or recent graduates interested in learning about event operations, sports operations and more, to apply for the Sport Operations Intern positions.

o Candidate Basics - The candidate is someone who understands the spirit of collaboration and cooperation. This person has mastered attention to detail, critical thinking, organization, personal responsibility, professionalism, and time management. The candidate should have experience with active problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. A member of this team is a strong communicator, has a positive attitude, is a team player, and has a strong sense of ethics and moral responsibility.

o Requirements - The candidate must have a desire to work in sports, special events, operations or a similar field. Basic computer skills with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Google Suite are a must. You must also be willing to stand or work on your feet inside/outside during a variety of different weather conditions for long periods of time. Operations interns must be able to lift or move up to 30 lbs.

o Responsibilities - Daily activities include but are not limited to: setting up and breaking down sports facilities, overall venue management and oversight, sport-specific operations, transporting equipment, and other operational duties in the management of signage, hospitality, transportation, volunteers, awards and more.

o Paid or Credit - All candidates selected receive a stipend. Students interested in receiving college credit check the box on the application and must submit the paperwork from their colleges at the start of their internship.
