Job Summary

Job Summary: The Ticket Sales Manager will be tasked with growing and leading the Ignite Sports brands, including the Columbus River Dragons Hockey and Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots Baseball teams, as well as Golden Park (all properties referred to as Ignite), by overseeing and managing the ticket sales staff on a day-to-day basis. This position is also personally responsible for generating revenue from the sales of season tickets and group tickets. This role is both tactical and operational in nature and requires a candidate that is able to handle multiple deliverables and partner with various work groups, while also ensuring that all deadlines are met.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • ·         Accountable for day-to-day sales, as well as oversight and management of ticket sales staff ensuring efficiency and productivity, while driving the overarching ticket sales strategy for the organization
  • ·         Responsible for prospecting and building ticket sales strategy, sellout strategy, group and season ticket strategy for the team and oversee implementation for Ignite Sports and affiliated events held at Golden Park
  • ·         Identify new sales prospects and track all contacts, companies and sales opportunities in efforts to drive single game ticket sales and online ticket package sales through email marketing and digital advertising strategy, tracking opportunities in a company provided CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool and ensure personal and team optimization of the tool
  • ·         Oversee collection, creation, cataloging and analyzing of all current and future customer data owned by Ignite Sports to be used for lead qualification, marketing, and sales efforts
  • ·         Track and analyze all relevant data and KPI’s to provide stakeholders and leadership with recommendations and insights to ensure success and make data-driven decisions and recommendations for improving the sales funnel and processes, including pipeline growth
  • ·         Accomplish all personal and team goals and objectives for calls and connections made to targeted audiences on a daily and weekly basis, while ensuring accountability of the same goals with the sales and operations team
  • ·         Maintain regular, weekly scheduled check-ins with all sales and operations team members and others who contribute to opportunity development to determine and identify any problems for internal review and action
  • ·         Assist with on-boarding and training new sales talent within the organization, including interns and other groups that may be added at a later date
  • ·         Contribute to all weekly team meetings and supply input, ideas and experience where needed
  • ·         Supply all required post game reporting and feedback to leadership after all events, as needed
  • ·         Ensure an overarching unified brand voice across the different organizations, where applicable
  • ·         Contribute to all company aspects on an “as needed” basis

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • ·         Extrovert, sociable and outgoing personality is essential to this position
  • ·         Capable people leader with the ability to multitask and think on their feet
  • ·         Proven work experience and established successful track record in sales and operations, or similar role
  • ·         Critical thinker, good organizational habits and problem-solving skills are required
  • ·         Ability to deliver all projects in a timely fashion
  • ·         Review and knowledge of other successful events and relevant operations is a must
  • ·         Excellent interpersonal communication and time management skills
  • ·         Organizational, multitasking, and analytical skills
  • ·         Attendance on nights and weekends, and possibly holidays, based on games schedules is required
