Job Summary

Job Summary: The Academy Director will oversee the creation and operation of the new Youth Academy Soccer Team. The Academy Director will work directly with the Technical Director to create and implement the Club’s training methodology and philosophy into the youth programs of the Academy. The Academy Director will be responsible for all the day-to-day administrative and sporting operations of the Academy and will report to the Technical Director. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Creating processes for player identification and recruitment 
• Working in conjunction with the Technical Director to create the Club’s youth development plan for players in all Academy age group
• Identifying and selecting players and coaches for the Club’s Academy ·
• Building and being accountable for a reporting structure on all Academy teams and players
• Creating and maintaining a system of data collection for all Academy teams
• Developing, maintaining and continuously evolving training programs with Academy coaches in conjunction with the Technical Director
• Communicating the goals and vision of the Academy to staff and internal stakeholders
• Implementing corrective action plans for players, coaches or the Academy
• Managing Academy technical and administrative support staff       
• Overseeing the Academy budget necessary to meet requirements of an Academy

Qualifcations: 

• Coaching license or equivalent
• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree and/or has been a professional soccer player at a country’s highest level for at least 5 years
• Experience with youth soccer coaching
