Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for working with the Director of Sports Medicine in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, referral and rehabilitation of injuries/illnesses of student-athletes;
• Assisting in the daily health care of student-athletes and athletic training room operation;
• Recording and maintaining appropriate medical records for treatment given;
• Daily practice coverage and travel responsibilities;
• Assisting with the scheduling of appointments for treatment and the coordination of health insurance related processes;
• Opportunity to participate as a preceptor in clinical instruction of athletic training students;
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training required, Master's degree in related field preferred;
• NATABOC Certification required,
• State of New York Licensure/Certificate required(must have prior to employment);
• One to three years' experience required; three to five years' experience at the collegiate level preferred;
• Prior successful experience in the field with evidence of the ability to relate well to students, department members, and colleagues.
• Must have strong work ethic, strong rehabilitation skills, ability to multi-task, and demonstrated ability to work independently;
• Clear understanding of the NCAA Division III philosophy, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in ATS injury software is preferred;
• A valid driver's license, official academic transcript(s) and the successful result of a background check are required;
• Must be able to work on weekends and evenings and limited travel.
