Job Summary

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work under the direction of the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance Services.
  • Work cooperatively with Athletics Department coaches, staff and student-athletes to monitor and manage all aspects of playing and practice seasons (Bylaw 17).
  • Coordinate and monitor all Countable Athletically Related Activities logs and student-athlete approvals inside the Compliance software system.
  • Oversee the “CARA Monitoring Program” and associated initiatives.
  • Monitor and approve all declaration of season forms.
  • Monitor and approve TMP submissions for each program.
  • Lead the departmental “Team Leader Monitoring Program”.
  • In concert with the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance Services, review and approve student-athlete outside competition issues.
  • Monitor and approve all foreign tour requests.
  • Oversee summer access eligibility and clearance review.
  • Work with coaches to develop a team contact policy for those outside of the university communicating with student-athletes, and formally approving all registration requests.
  • Review class time conflicts with scheduled practices and oversee the missed class time audit.
  • Assist with the completion of the Sports Sponsorship & Demographics report to the NCAA.
  • Serve as the liaison to the Athletic Training staff for CPR/AED/1st Aid rules compliance.
  • Serve as the liaison to Sports Performance Office.
  • Serve as the institutional liaison to ARMS Software.
  • Assist with providing NCAA and PAC-12 rules interpretations.
  • Assist with research and preparation of NCAA SLR waivers as deemed applicable.
  • Assist with investigation and preparation of rules violation reports.
  • Assist with rules education program as assigned.
  • Prepare reports as assigned.
  • Prepare and present training and educational materials to coaches, student-athletes and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
