Job Summary
Job Summary: The Cheer & Dance Head Coach will provide overall guidance to the Cheer & Dance Programs.
- Manage all day-to-day operations of the program including, but not limited to the following tasks.

- Identification of potential student-athletes, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, maintenance of recruitment files, and meeting roster recruiting goals.
- Organization and coordination of practice plans.
- Manage performance preparations, including court set-up and break down, uniform and equipment preparation, game-plan preparation, warm-up activities, and evaluations.
- Inventory management of uniforms and equipment, and input into purchasing decisions on new equipment.
- Maintain a calendar of practices and events including but not limited to the team’s presence and support at Basketball and support all applicable postseason tournaments.
- Comply with the sport specific intercollegiate affiliation policy, conference rules, and department policy and procedures.
- Available in late afternoon and evenings for practices and games, as well as, other varied weekends for games, tournaments, and competitions. Must be flexible with availability.
- Scheduling and travel plans, including the organization of lodging and meals on road trips, and timely completion of expense reports.
- Monitoring and supervision of student-athletes, to include athletic activities, academic progress, eligibility concerns and disciplinary issues.
- Coordination of student-athlete community service projects in conjunction with the NAIA Champions of Character program.
- Participation in program and athletic department fund-raising efforts.
- Assist in game day administration duties as assigned.
- Work effectively with students, student-athletes, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, officials, and coaching peers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Institution
- At least five years prior coaching experience in collegiate cheer and dance
