Manager, Tournament Marketing

Job Summary

• 5 years’ experience in Marketing, preferably sports marketing


• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising or other related discipline 


• Experience managing a team and a background in project management is required 

• Must possess strong communication, organization, creativity and media management skills 


• Ability to identify and put into practice a balance of oversight and empowerment of a team

• Develop and direct tournament marketing strategies, utilizing paid media, earned media and promotions, which build national awareness and drive admissions revenue locally for assigned Championship Management tournaments.   

• Support tournament executive directors in the development of marketing budgets and media evaluations and provide regular financial reporting


• Provide on-site support to execute promotions, activations and support staff at assigned tournaments

• Analyze historical ticket data, secondary market sales and industry trends to develop ticketing strategies and pricing structures across multiple tournaments and markets.  Analyze the event-ticketing marketplace for new ways to generate revenue and profit.


• Develop and encourage staff to pursue new tasks and challenges related to overall departmental goals and objectives


• Contribute to departmental operations, including staffing, budget management/ cost containment, and internal communication


• Special projects or other duties as assigned
