We presently have an opportunity for a Risk Compliance Coordinator, Finance & Administration within our Risk Management/Treasury department. As a Risk Compliance Coordinator, you will be a key member of a team responsible for conducting regular and random compliance reviews of the First Tee chapters to ensure adherence to the requirements of the Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017 and the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s policies and procedures; managing chapter certificates of insurance to meet license agreement insurance requirements and assisting with collection and management of risk exposure data related for First Tee headquarters and the PGA TOUR.   
 
Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience in risk management, insurance, compliance, youth sports organization or similar field is required; Experience in a corporate headquarters office environment preferred

  • Must have working knowledge of insurance terminology, policy administration procedures and basic coverage terms and conditions; familiarity with risk management principles in evaluating and analyzing risk exposures and mitigating losses; strong communication skills required to interact with other departments and external constituents.

  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SalesForce, and willingness to learn third-party technology to track background screening and training programs; run compliance reports utilizing Salesforce; communicate electronically via email and voicemail

  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately

  • Work experience in youth non-profit organizations preferred; sports background strongly preferred

  • Proven track record of support for sport constituents and an ability and desire to work collaboratively with them

  • Passionate about First Tee and PGA TOUR mission

 
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer compliance program to ensure that First Tee chapters are compliant with training requirements of the Safe Sport Act of 2017 and background check requirements associated with the First Tee Safe Sport Policy; complete all steps including tracking and obtaining relevant documentation; communicate with First Tee chapters; and prepare compliance reports, correspondence and workpapers

  • Escalate non-compliance and red flag issues to appropriate parties at First Tee and PGA TOUR

  • Adhere to all requirements and rules regarding the handling of confidential information

  • Formulate recommendations in response to audit results necessary to improve operations, eliminate deficiencies, and bring into compliance

  • Develop and run monthly and quarterly compliance reports to analyze trends and communicate to internal stakeholders; create ad hoc reports as necessary

  • Serve as a technical resource concerning implementation and recommendations for background screening & training program requirements

  • Administer initial and renewal certificate management and compliance for First Tee chapters insurance requirements; initiate corrections as needed

  • Coordinate/issue all requests for certificates of insurance from various business units at First Tee and PGA TOUR

  • Assist with insurance renewals, including gather and evaluate exposure data such as vehicle/driver schedules, property values, equipment, and other renewal data necessary for underwriters in the renewal process

  • Coordinate information from outside entities and internal customers for background screening and training programs

  • Process insurance invoices to internal constituents for payment

  • Complete various administrative tasks, special projects or other duties as assigned
