Job Summary

Description: Major League Lacrosse is currently searching for an enthusiastic individual to join the Corporate Sponsorships department in a Manager of Sponsorships position. 

This role will be a hybrid of activation and sales and will be a key contributor in generating revenue through managing current partnerships, researching and strategizing on new opportunities while selling sponsorships and preparing sales decks.

 Qualifications:

• 4-year College degree –preferably in sports management, business and/or marketing and communications
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills; comfortable speaking in public 
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of sports sponsorship sales and/or activation
• Above-average knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and database programs within a Windows environment

 Responsibilities: 

• Will be primary point of contact with corporate partners, managing accounts and growing relationships
• Responsible for the prospecting, partnership ideation and selling of new corporate partnerships
• Establish strong working relationships with local and regional companies to understand individual marketing and business goals and initiatives with a focus on regional markets – both current partners and prospects
• Responsible for creation/implementation of new ideas/opportunities that drive revenue
• Identify key open/new categories as prospective business leads
• Manage seasonal and part-time corporate sales employees to assist in game day responsibilities
• Create compelling sales presentations to senior level decisions makers incorporating a clear understanding of the prospective partner’s marketing and business objectives
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Position requires limited overnight travel
