Job Summary

Job Description
  • Provide a wide variety of support services for and on behalf of the Human Resources Department.
  • Provide high quality customer service to all employees as a resourceful point of contact within the department. 
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date computerized (Workday) and paper records (if needed) of all transactions.
  • Administer the set up and processing of major league and minor league player rosters at the beginning of the season for payroll purposes, making moves during the season, and performing year end tasks for player payroll.
  • Monitor the Human Resource Department email inbox and respond to inquiries.
  • Manage purchasing activities for Club breakrooms and new employee office supplies.
  • Responsible for the coordination and maintenance of employment files. 
  • Serve as records coordinator for the department.
  • Provide general office support
  • Assist with various other Human Resource Department duties
  • Assist with the administration of our organizational development program. 
  • Process course evaluations, make room/equipment reservations and coordinate registration.
  • Coordinate New Employee Orientation including
  • Schedule and prepare for employment interviews.
  • Conduct reference checks
  • Process requests for verification of employment.
  • Assist with the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Support candidates with the online application process.
  • Support administration of benefit program including but not limited to:
  1. Assist with COBRA administration
  2. Audit employee insurance enrollment information in HRIS. 
  3. Monitor and audit employee benefit data including plan information and status changes, correct errors. 
  4. Follow-up with Director of Benefits
  5. Assist in the organization of annual enrollment materials
  6. Revise and/or update benefit materials
  7. Perform additional benefit related administration
  • Assist with compensation program administration 
  • Serve as a point person for the collection, audit, correction and filing required reporting
  • Create and publish Club newsletter and maintain electronic displays with up-to-date information. 
  • Assist with culture and employee recognition activities including:
  1. Special events
  2. Club Years of Service program
  3. Track hire dates and distribute pins
  4. Coordination of ticket distributions and raffles for employee activities 
  • Assist with audits and human resource projects
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university
  • Two or more year’s related experience and/or training
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven work experience in a fast-paced, high volume, customer service-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to independently set priorities and manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft office software
  • Experience with Workday system preferred

Language Skills                                              
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
     

Mathematical Skills                                                    

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. 
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
     

Reasoning Ability      

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands 
  • Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
  • Required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to stand; walk; sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required
Work Environment 
  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include heat, cold and various forms of precipitation
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet
