Job Summary
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Sell premium seats to Field through cold calling, prospecting, networking, face-to-face meetings, and referrals
- Build and foster relationships with past, current, and potential customers
- Responsible for self-generated lead acquisition to maximize number of sales and overall revenue
- Meet and exceed sales goals set forth by the team
- Provide excellent customer service at all points in time
- Perform well in a team environment supporting the success of others
- Accurately track sales activity and sales progress through Salesforce
- Work within the Tickets.com ticketing system
- Assist in the completion of contracts for sold inventory
- Attend Rangers games, networking events, and other activities in the DFW market with the purpose of generating new business
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year university
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, with a sports team or entity preferred
- Experience making sales for a new/opening venue, preferred
- Prior history of meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required and travel as needed
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be comfortable presenting information to high-level executives and large groups
- Strong listening skills with a proven ability to establish and maintain a team-oriented environment
- Lives and thinks outside of the established way of doing things
- Inclusive; a collegial, open, and collaborative teammate with superior work ethic
- Ability to anticipate clients' needs and proactively find solutions
- Excellent customer service and computer skills
- Must possess a high level of energy
- Must be a motivated self-starter
- Time management skills are crucial
