Mid-Level Accountant

Job Summary

• Work closely with off-site lead Accountant to ensure accuracy of all data in and out of accounting department.
• STRONG attention to detail, as this position will be handling the daily accounting for a total of 6 different small companies.
• Discretion for appropriate sharing of details and high level of confidentiality.
• Process bi-weekly payroll for the 6 different companies on site, which includes a mix of hourly and salary employees.
• Process weekly accounts payable, to include monitoring payables for accuracy in vendor billing.
• Provide weekly outstanding receivables report to sales team and owner of company.
• Oversee the Accounting Clerk and ensure timely data entry of payables.
• Process bank deposits via remote deposit.
• Manage the pickup of cash deposits by the courier service and track through the process to ensure timely depositing into the bank account.
• Timely responses to all inquiries from the company owner, department managers, off-site lead Accountant and others regarding inquiries, ad-hoc requests, etc.
• Occasional weekends will be required due to the nature of the business; however, only on event weekends.

• 5 years’ working experience of QuickBooks Online is required, absolutely no exceptions.
• Minimum of 7 years Accounting experience.
• Experience with multiple entities is a plus with regards to intercompany transactions.
• ADP payroll service experience a plus, but not required.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents, organize and analyze data.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, especially keeping 6 different companies organized appropriately.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, function to General Ledger.
• A high level of Microsoft office a must (Excel mainly).
• Attendance and reliability is an imperative job function.
