Responsibilities:

  • Lead the provision of first aid and emergency care. 

  • Lead on all aspects of the development and implementation of the team’s emergency care strategies. 

  • Provide health and wellness education and support to teams and players.

  • Assist in the recognition and evaluation of player injuries and implementation of rehabilitation programs.

  • Provide manual therapy to players for preventative and maintenance programs. 

  • Coordinate current and prospective player physicals and medical screenings. 

  • Lead and support the team Assistant Athletic Trainer.

  • Facilitate league required drug testing to ensure team and player compliance with the league’s policies and procedures. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Postgraduate degree in Athletic Training. 

  • 3-5 years of experience working as an Athletic Trainer for high performance sports and athletes.

  • N.A.T.A. Certified. 

  • Current certification for CPR and first aid. 

  • High knowledge and expertise in emergency care practices, techniques and procedures

  • Skilled in a range of manual therapy techniques and other physical therapy treatment interventions

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with a high attention to detail

  • Good work ethic. 

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
