Job Summary

Position Summary:

• Evaluate prospective talent.
• Required to attend assigned games and take comprehensive notes to determine if prospective players are talented enough
• These notes inform each scouting report required for submission post-game.
• Participate in scouting meetings and calls, which are organized throughout the year. 

Essential Functions:

• Participate in Training Camp Scout Meeting
• Discuss college schedule, top prospects, and receive Fall scouting assignments
• Scout all assigned preseason or regular college games
• Take notes at each game
• Expand on notes and submit scouting report post-game to assistant
• Reconvene with scouting department 
• Reassess list of prospects
• Receive Winter/Spring scouting assignments
• Scout assigned games and brackets 
• Scout pre-draft camps 
• Scout pre-draft workouts 
• Travel to provide input for Draft 
• Analyze all eligible, prospective players and develop a ranked list of top 60 players
• Attend summer league games 
• Keep abreast of news and injuries for elite, up-and-coming players
• Constantly review other statistical resources 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Connections/insights required
• College playing experience preferred
