Senior Manager, Content Strategy

Job Summary

• The Senior Manager, Content Strategy is responsible for creative development of assigned video programs, including vignettes and premium series, as well as photography, graphics generation, editorial content and podcasts. 
• Alongside the Director, Content Strategy, this professional will oversee the development process, fostering concepts from ideation to production, post-production and distribution. 
• This role helps manage the overall content strategy including working with each content vertical, like editorial, digital, video, etc. to develop robust and full sponsored content packages and platforms. 
• This position must establish relationships with appropriate personnel in various departments including Brand and Creative, Partnerships, Activation and more, as well as other partners to ensure proper execution of projects. 
• The Senior Manager, Content Strategy must also mentor, grow and assist in the development of production staff to continuously improve and develop product quality. 

• Create and develop, alongside Director, Content Strategy, sellable and scalable short and long-form content, including video, editorial, photo, graphics, social media, audio and more


• Develop content for social media, in-arena, network, broadcast, international and OTT distribution

• Oversee the creative of assigned projects to ensure that the quality is at the highest level


• Mentor, develop and grow a large team of Producer/Editors, Digital Media Coordinators and Associates and help them become future leaders of the organization


• On-set produce and manage creative throughout production process

• Develop and create content to support partnership pitches and renewals with creative development


• Meet and execute contractual content requirements for partners

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including travel, nights, weekends and holidays

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Television/Film Production, Broadcast Journalism, Communications and/or related area of study


• Minimum five years in the television and/or digital production industry with prior staff management experience


• Production experience should include single and/or multi-camera production and all phases of pre- and post-production, as well as developing content, formulating budgets, generating creative treatments, script writing and line-producing for a wide variety of programming


• Familiarity with the following production systems and/or technical equipment: digital non-linear video editing, nonlinear audio editing and computer graphics.


• Solid computer skills


• Ability to shoot, edit and distribute preferred


• Familiarity with advancing and emerging technologies and techniques related to television production


• Sports content production background preferred, experience with the game of basketball a plus
