Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor

Job Summary

Job Duties: 
  • Manage facility maintenance, utilities, and engineering, including but not limited to: elevators, escalators, lighting controls and systems, chiller plant, HVAC systems, Electrical, refrigeration, fire systems, and plumbing
  • Serve as a maintenance and engineering representative for events at the venue
  • Assist with building preparation for all regular and major events
  • Help maintain cleanliness of the facility; uphold high standards for safety and appearance
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and friendly environment for guests, participants, and staff
  • Manage building management systems and create efficiencies 
  • Manage Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for PMs and facility work orders
  • Manage service agreements associated with building systems, equipment and controls
  • Perform preventative and general maintenance work as needed
  • Perform repairs on systems and assist in modifying systems
  • Maintain a service oriented department for interactions with all constituents
  • Perform other functions and activities as directed by the Facility Manager
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience overseeing maintenance and engineering at a venue of a similar size preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) 
  • Able to understand, troubleshoot, and repair systems, equipment, and tools
  • Experience with equipment inventory or CMMS system preferred
  • Experience with building management systems required
  • Experience with lighting control systems required
  • Experience with chiller plant operations required
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure
  • Able to work well within a team environment, offering assistance and support to team members whenever necessary
  • Able to balance internal priorities with client expectations
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and some holidays
