 Job Summary: 
  • The NHL Team are one of the National Hockey League’s most exciting young teams.
  • We’re seeking a Social Media Coordinator who will be responsible for the day-to-day production and execution of the team content across multiple social media platforms. 
 
Essential Functions: 
·         Cover all games and select events on social media
·         Create and manage content on the official NHL Team Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and other emerging platforms
·         Lead the production of posts for social media: 
a.       Assist in creating innovative, entertaining content and writing engaging copy across multiple platforms. (ex: GIFS, short videos, photos, web articles)
b.      Collaborate with the creative team to produce and edit high-quality images for web and social media.
·         Assist in coordinating the internal content needs of the organization, manage the content calendar and execute daily digital content 
·         Work on digital and social media strategy including native and paid campaigns  
·         Collaborate with multiple departments within the organization including marketing, sales, sponsorships, community relations and others to deliver and execute successful social campaigns and create engaging sponsorship inventory that aligns with the NHL Team’ overall communications strategy
·         Work to create a community of fans on social media, answer questions and inquiries and track sentiment and trends concerning the NHL Team Brand in the digital space
·         Together with the communications team, this position is responsible for monitoring social media analytics and tracking KPIs as determined by managers 
·         Monitor best practices and trends across the sports and digital industries and effectively communicate and apply best procedures 
 
 
Qualifications/Requirements: 
·         1-3 years of experience in a related field
·         Extensive knowledge of social media best practices
·         Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills
·         Ability to work within a collaborative team environment
·         A high level of dependability and professionalism is essential
·         Post-graduate certificate/degree considered an asset
·         Demonstrated experience driving consumer / fan engagement across multiple social channels
·         Strong writing and editing skills
·         Adobe Creative Suites Proficiency
·         Multimedia editing skills considered an asset.
·         Experience with professional or collegiate sports considered an asset.
