Job Summary

The Fan Loyalty Internship is a full-time paid (minimum wage) internship position beginning in January 2018 and ending in December 2018. Miami Marlins fans are passionate – and the most dedicated fans deserve to be rewarded for their true devotion! The Fan Loyalty Intern will be responsible for executing Marlins loyalty program efforts so as to reward true fan loyalty, and also to drive their future repeated business. Fulfilling “bucket list” Marlins moments for our diehard fans, as well as running point on a dynamic, exciting and ever-changing marketing platform to drive key business results for the organization is the goal. This internship will provide first-hand experience in how the sports industry collides with the new and rapidly-moving world of digital marketing, and will provide real-world experience to a candidate interested in being on the front lines of sports and digital initiatives.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Creatively devise strategic implementations of loyalty marketing program.
  • Aid in coordinating and administrating the season ticket loyalty program.
  • Help fulfill rewards and once-in-a-lifetime experiences for Marlins members.
  • Support strategy by utilizing loyalty data and metrics to report on customer engagement and habit trends.
  • Oversee the membership communications and program fulfillment.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute large-scale events for the membership base.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Extremely organized, detail oriented, accountable and self-sufficient.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to demonstrate creativity so as to constantly identify new opportunities to promote the Marlins brand.
  • Ability to work during games, nights, weekends and occasional holidays during the baseball season.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

            

Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sport Management or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel recommended.
  • Experience with event planning, reporting or statistics a plus.
