Equipment Manager

Job Summary

• The Equipment Manager will work closely with the Team Admin in performing a variety of tasks supporting the Chicago Red Stars and provide dedicated support on a day-to-day basis and work as a part of team operations for both training and game days.

• Prep for training on a daily basis


• Distribute training gear into lockers prior to player arrival or after player departure


• Laundering of game uniforms and training gear


• Check ball pressure each day


• Help with field set-up and clean-up


• Maintain an organized and clean equipment room and locker room


• Prep locker room for home matches


• Assists Team Admin with pressing all team and staff training gear, front office gear and all uniforms


• Assists Team Admin with inventory of Nike items


• Notify the Team Admin of various needs

• Ability to work normal office hours (minimum of 20 hours/week), as well as non-traditional hours for events and game days, including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.


• Superior time management skills, dependability, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated


• Maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality within a team environment is required.


• Must have driver’s license and own method of transportation.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


• Strong understanding and passion for the sport of soccer is preferred
