Job Summary

Overview

The IT Administrator will be responsible for maintaining IT solutions across the company, including, but not limited to, networks, servers, desktops, hardware, software, email, databases, internet access, and telecommunications.

You will work with a group of Windows System Administrators/Engineers to maintain and enhance an existing computer network infrastructure within a heterogeneous mix of computing hardware and software platforms, including servers and workstations. 

 The nature of the workload and duties performed require an exceptional degree of reliability and requires evening and weekend hours including an on-call rotation for after-hours support.


 Essential Responsibilities

  •  Responsible for solving complex problems with root cause analysis.
  • You will provide end user support on all PC hardware and peripherals for 150+ internal users
  • Contribute to network related troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring
  • Assist with on boarding of new users, including PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software.
  • Identify hardware deficiencies and report findings
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
  • Support of cell phones, office phone system, and other communication devices
  • Create and follow standard processes, plan effectively to complete tasks on schedule, and clearly document results.
  • You will communicate problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to customers and management.
  • Other duties of this position will be server maintenance, network back-ups, employee relocations within the office, hardware/software inventory, and the research and implementation of new technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 Required Skills, Experience, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology discipline 
  • Minimum of 1-2 years commercial Systems Administration Experience
  • Apple Certified Mac Technician Certification (ACMT), Certification in CompTIA A+ and Network+ preferred
  • Knowledge of system design, development and implementation procedures
  • Possess full grasp of PC architecture, PC support, Server support, Microsoft Windows 10 Workstation and Windows Servers, Mac OS, Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, and Anti-Virus tools, knowledge of Windows Server 2016 or higher is preferred
