Job Summary
Job Purpose:
Midwest Sports Productions is seeking a dynamic sales professional to assist with recruiting and selling tournaments to potential and current clients. The representative should be energetic, well-spoken and eager to talk about youth sports tournaments. This is a temporary position with the potential of becoming long-term based on performance and opportunity.
About MSP:

Our goal is to drive excitement, win new customers, introduce existing customers to new and exciting experiences and make an impact on the communities in which we run our tournaments.
Each mission is different and is catered to the audience at hand: be it providing the energy needed in the office, igniting the coolest youth sports events in town, visiting a club team just to say thanks for 'playing MSP,' or supporting a team that's in need. We make sure that every MSP family member we engage with gets a special interaction, giving them that little something extra when they need it most and creating a whole new level of energetic feel before, during, and after MSP events.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Make outgoing calls to current and potential customers
- Document all conversations and ensure proper follow-up communication in a timely manner
- Identify new customers locally, regionally, and nationally
- Achieve daily call goal expectations and track activity
- Work with brand manager and marketing team on becoming familiar with the brand and ensure the brand is being represented appropriately
- Address customer questions and concerns
- Remote work is a possibility, but the candidate must be able to work in physical office at least once a week to meet with the team
Qualifications and Education:
- High school diploma or GED required. College degree in business or sales preferred or equivalent industry experience in lieu of degree
- 1-3 years previous sales experience
- 1 year inside sales experience preferred
- Genuine interest in youth sports
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- High attention to detail
- Ability to overcome objections in achieving sales goals
- CRM software experience preferred
