The Talent 409 Leadership Academy, a Charlotte-based leadership and culture development firm, is looking for a Marketing & Sales Associate. At Talent 409 we help student-athletes discover their talent altitude through workshops and seminars while increasing their opportunities for success on and off the field. The idea that player development is more than just physical. Learning traits and qualities related to leadership development will help you in competition on the field and also prepare you for life after sports. At Talent 409 we help athletes, coaches and teams realize their talent altitude by improving their leadership performance and setting them up with a roadmap for life. 

Marketing & Sales Associate Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to marketing and sales

  • Execute marketing and sales strategies

  • Work with President and CEO to manage brand and marketing initiatives

  • Develop and execute marketing and sales campaigns

  • Perform market and client research

  • Create reports on marketing and sales performance

  • Maintain schedules for marketing and sales initiatives

  • Assist with social media and website content

This is a VIRTUAL opportunity. The ideal person will work between 15-25 hours per week. These hours include 2 or 3 Skype/Zoom calls per week with the President and CEO to track progress and help with professional development. 

Marketing & Sales Associate Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of organization and attention to detail

  • Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and social abilities

  • Ability to spot emerging trends

  • Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing, and search engines

  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strong writing and copy-editing abilities

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word) and Google Docs

  • Demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)

  • A desire to learn sales methods
