Job Summary

 
Responsibilities
Policies/Procedures

  • Assists the Director of Ticket Operations in the development and implementation of ticket policies and procedures for the Olympic sports at the University.

  • Conduct studies and surveys of other NCAA Division I colleges as to their ticket policies and procedures for Olympic sports.

  • Coordinates the sale and distribution of season and single game tickets to all sporting events via e-mail, telephone, and online.  Handle the printing of all season and single game tickets for Olympic sporting events. 

Customer Service

  • Carry out excellent and proper customer service for all sporting events including Olympic sporting events, such as answering the telephone, serving customers in person, drafting correspondence and e-mails, and coordinating any mailings.

  • Act as a liaison between the President’s Office, Government Relations, the Alumni Association, University Development, and the Athletic Ticket Office to coordinate and fill orders.

Game Day

  • Administer and issue complimentary tickets within NCAA, Big Ten and University rules and regulations.

  • Supervise game management and box office personnel for the Ticket Office for the Olympic sporting events including but not limited to: men’s and women’s soccer, wrestling, volleyball, women’s gymnastics, baseball and softball along with any hosted Big Ten and NCAA post-season contests.

  • Act as Ticket department and University liaison with Event Team Members during Athletic and University events requiring their services.

  • Review and recommend the assignment of ticket office staff for each Olympic sporting event. 

Financial

  • Handle all financial and accounting procedures including deposits, credit card processing and refunds for above mentioned Olympic sporting events.

  • Compile revenue reports for Director of Ticket Operations and Executive Director of Business Operations.

  • Prepare any reports requested by the Athletic Department, University Big Ten, and NCAA via the Paciolan computer system.

  • Handle refunds, deductions, invoices, mailing lists, and mass mailings.

  • Work in conjunction with and assist auditors during audit reviews. 

Other

  • Will have specific football game day responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Ticket Operations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel spreadsheets and basic accounting procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors.

  • Working knowledge of Paciolan ticketing system.
