About Learn Fresh
Through community, play, and rigorous exploration, we leverage student passion points in sports and entertainment to inspire their STEM and social-emotional learning. Our programs are explicitly focused on achieving equitable representation across the STEM pipeline for girls, students of color, and those living in low-income communities. Our flagship program, NBA Math Hoops, is delivered to over 350,000 students across the country in partnership with 25 NBA and WNBA team partners.
About the Role
As a Marketing Lead, you will have the opportunity to develop and execute innovative strategies to increase visibility for Learn Fresh and its associated brands, both nationally and globally. The Marketing Lead will have both a creative and data-driven approach, leveraging trends in social media to grow engagement from students, educators, funding partners, and donors. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and Head of Communications, you will lead development of creative content (video, social media posts, mass email communications) and strategies to grow brand awareness.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with Chief Development Officer and Head of Communications to develop and execute marketing campaigns leveraging social media. In addition to regular posts on social media feeds, this will include paid ads, contests, and other strategies to increase engagement and followership.

Develop creative content for social media.

Create strategies to engage target audiences: students, educators, and parents (both those currently enrolled in our programs and prospects), as well as funding partners and donors.

Manage organization communications calendar and maintain a bank of collateral for social media (ex: organize photos from past Learn Fresh Events or photos shared with us by parents and educators; organize video/audio clips).

Manage consistent Learn Fresh (and associated accounts) brand “voice” on social media, email communications, and marketing materials.

Identify and develop relationships with relevant and key social media influencers to increase reach, brand awareness, and engagement.

Maintain working knowledge of social media trends and marketing strategies of peer organizations.

Cultivate social communities and conversations with target audiences and respond to messages and questions in a timely manner.

Manage and track marketing data, including social media insights on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

Create brand aligned PDFs for distribution to Donors, Partners, Educators, and other key stakeholders (ex: one-pagers about Learn Fresh and our programs, materials for prospective donors highlighting fundraising initiatives).

Identify and secure opportunities to feature Learn Fresh programs and executive leadership via national and regional media outlets, conferences, etc.
Skills Required

2-5 years of experience in social media brand management and/or a proven ability to significantly grow a social media following through experience managing a brand’s accounts.

Given this role is remote, you must be a timely and persistent communicator, have strong time management skills, and be self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Understanding of social media strategies for growth, and experience with paid social media marketing (Instagram and Facebook).

Ability to track and leverage trends across social media.

Familiarity with MailChimp or similar email marketing platforms.

Familiarity with Adobe Suite or similar tools to edit images and develop brand aligned PDFs.

Clear, concise, and accurate writer.

Must be able to communicate effectively and succinctly over phone and email.

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is necessary.

Ability to think creatively while following established structures.

A good sense of humor and team-first attitude!
