Coordinator, Programming & Scheduling

We are looking to add a Coordinator of Programming & Scheduling to our Sports team . You will be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling responsibilities of Racing, as well as supporting Sports schedule. Additionally, you will support the creation of commercial formats for all  Sports programming. This position is also responsible for organizing and monitoring various information and departmental databases/points of contact.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in creation and assignation of commercial formats for Sports programming

• Create and maintain format guides as needed

• Oversee organization of commercial format files, updating and removing as needed

• Creates, assigns traffic/house numbers and tracks closed captioning needs for assigned properties

• Monitor departmental mailbox as needed

• Serve as liaison with channel listings services

• Generate daily weather report

• Schedule contingency programming for national networks

• Drafts, inputs and distributes Racing schedule

• Updates and maintains as needed

• Support senior staff during live events as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• College degree preferred
• 1+ years’ experience in television programming is preferred
• Previous experience in sports is strongly preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary
• Proficiency in math and general accounting concepts is required
• Superior organization skills and attention to detail are needed
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required
• Resourceful and quick-thinking research skills are a must
• The ability to multitask and work effectively under changing priorities and daily time constraints is require
