Operations Assistant – Job Description
Perform-X is looking for a sport-minded individual who has knowledge of and experience in the business-end of the fitness industry and understands the hierarchy of the athletic world including high school, college, university, semi-professional and professional organizations. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the position is responsible for providing a wide variety of administrative and operational support. Work may include but is not limited to organizing and maintaining workflow; researching new clients and tracking records and communications; helping improving sales processes; answering phones; and assisting in preparing professional correspondence with clients and vendors. As a growing company, Perform-X needs an extremely organized self-starter, with a creative mind, who can deliver a high level of professionalism with all projects and responsibilities while being flexible to the inevitable changes that come with a rapidly growing company. The right candidate in this position will have tremendous growth opportunities within Perform-X Training Systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day tasks while providing a wide variety of administrative and operational support.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with preparation of presentation materials and proposals.
  • Streamline operations and help develop operating procedures.
  • Arrange travel reservations and schedules, as needed.
  • Research and organize client contacts.
  • Improves results by recommending process improvements, providing continuing measurements and analyses.
  • Bring new ideas and innovation to the company.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years’ experience supporting executive levels.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex executive meetings and multiple city travel arrangements.
  • Multi-tasking skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Support experience in professional services, sales, or marketing environment
  • Process improvement, problem solving, reporting skills, communication processes, informing others, verbal communication, teamwork, dependability, administrative writing skills.
  • Positive attitude and open mind
  • Experience in athletic and/or fitness industries preferred.
