Sports Business Associate – Job Description

Perform-X is looking for a sport-minded individual who has knowledge of and experience in the business-end of the fitness industry and understands the hierarchy of the athletic world including high school, college, university, semi-professional and professional organizations.  As a growing company, Perform-X needs a hardworking, self-starter who can deliver a high level of professionalism with all projects and responsibilities while being flexible to the inevitable changes that come with a rapidly growing company. Work may include but is not limited to shipping and receiving; equipment assembly; installations; inside sales with past and current company partners; preparing professional correspondence with clients and vendors utilizing tools such as Word, PowerPoint, InDesign and Google Sketch; and assisting in any other operational processes and procedures. The right candidate in this position will have tremendous growth opportunities within Perform-X Training Systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Shipping and Receiving
  • Equipment Assembly
  • On-Site Installations
  • Help coordinate inside sales with past and current company partners 
  • Research and organize new and current partner contacts.
  • Bring new ideas and innovation to the company
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Experience in athletic and/or fitness industries
  • Multi-tasking skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Process improvement, problem solving, decision making, reporting skills, communication processes, informing others, verbal communication, teamwork, dependability, administrative writing skills
  • Positive attitude and open mind
