Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate low-pressure boilers, chillers, and other associated HVAC equipment and controls
- Daily buildings rounds, including inspection of equipment
- Record data and ensure proper operation of equipment
- Respond quickly to emergency situations
- Perform aggressive Preventative Maintenance Program
- Oversee the Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Possess knowledge and an understanding of building automated controls. Familiarity with Trane (Ensemble and SC) preferred
- Maintain the operation of the fire system (dry pipe and wet)
- Must be able to work a rotating schedule of games and large events, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, under all types of environmental conditions
- Maintain and operate mechanical and electrical systems within the facility
- Good communication, organization, prioritization, multi-tasking, problem solving, and leadership skills
- Perform standard building maintenance functions; repairs to pumps, motors, and various HVAC and electrical equipment
- Use of common HVAC mechanical and electrical diagnostic tools
- Completion of MEP preventative maintenance tasks
Experience, Education and Licensure:
- Three to five years experience in boiler, chiller, and commercial air conditioning equipment required; CFC universal required; strong knowledge of controls required.
Work Environment:
- A willingness to work long hours and a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays, especially during MLB season.
- Must be physically capable of moving about the MLB Team facilities, on construction work sites, and under adverse conditions.
- The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions.
- The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
