Job Summary

Overview of Position Requirements

• The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach is one of the positions responsible for administering all of the year-round activities of the women's basketball program. The Assistant Coach is directly responsible to the Head Coach in all matters related to the operation of this program.
• The Assistant Coach are responsible for handling game and practice coaching assignments throughout the year, as well as, overseeing strength and conditioning program.
• Recruiting prospective student-athletes is an essential element of the Assistant Coach's responsibility.
• Development and coordination of recruiting networks are an ongoing activity requiring travel throughout the United States during the entire year.
• The Assistant Coach will use discretion and personal judgment in the assessment of talent.
• Once the student-athlete has matriculated, the Assistant Coach is primary in the weekly monitoring of the student-athletes' academic progress.

The employee agrees to have knowledge of and compliance with NCAA, Athletic Conference, and Athletic Department rules and regulations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least three years of NCAA Division I coaching experience at the college level or higher
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Possession of a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 5 years of NCAA Division I coaching experience at the college level or higher
