Assistant Director, Strategic Communications

Job Summary

• Assists in the day-to-day management of the Strategic Communications department within University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

• Serving as the primary media contact for assigned programs, planning and implementing communications strategies for assigned sports
• Travel and gameday operations; and promoting University Athletics through the official website, social media and with local, regional and national media.

• Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization;
• Or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. 
• Prefer communications / sports information experience at the collegiate level or higher. 
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, and StatCrew/Genius software, as well as strong communication, organization, writing, editing and social media skills also preferred. 
• Be a person of integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules as they apply.
