Job Summary
Required Job Qualifications
- Master’s degree in area of counseling, student affairs/services, education, sports management, or related field
- At least 3 years of full-time experience providing academic support at the college level.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills
- Personal or professional commitment to diversity as demonstrated by persistent effort, active planning, allocation of resources and/or accountability for diversity outcomes
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Experience providing academic support for high profile intercollegiate student-athletes
- Knowledge of NCAA rules relating to academic and eligibility standards
- Proven ability to relate well with students, coaches and university staff
- Supervisory experience
- Experience working with students in an object-based learning environment
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a professional team
- Effective management, administrative and decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across the University
- Knowledge of and experience working with computerized student records
- Ability to learn quickly and effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and connect with students of all genders and diverse racial and cultural backgrounds
