Job Responsibilities

Serve as Head Men's Ice Hockey Club Coach reporting to the Assistant AD for Facilities and Recreational Sports. Plan, organize, recruit and coach the Men's Club Ice Hockey team. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to academic oversight, fundraising, and coordinating of camps and coaching clinics.

Duties include the following:

Coach the Men's Club Ice Hockey Club team in game competition. Direct daily practice during the prescribed season.
Recruit prospective student-athletes.
Supervise team travel.
Responsible for team equipment checkout and return.
Construct competition schedule.
Assist with academic monitoring of student-athletes.
Assist the Assistant AD for Facilities and Recreational Sports with public relations and fundraising activities.
Direct camps and clinics.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Education, Fitness, or related program is preferred.

Experience

4-5 years ice hockey coaching experience required at the professional, college, club or high school level. Must have strong team building/management skills; ability to work across academic and administrative departments in a cooperative manner; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate collaborative efforts; demonstrated experience in program development, management, and leadership; ability to interact with members of the public and media; ability to supervise regular and temporary staff; understanding of the student-athletes commitment to academics
