Job Summary

Job Description

• Assistant coaches are responsible primarily for teaching and training of technical information related to the performance of the sport, instruction related to technique of the sport, student-athlete conditioning, and tutoring regarding practice methods and imparting strategies for competing.
• Assistant coaches assist with recruitment and retention of student-athletes, public relations, program promotion and program administration.
• Higher level assistant coaches may advise student-athletes regarding athletic, academic and social issues and assist the Head Coach in management duties such as guiding junior coaches, budgeting, and logistical coordination.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree with one year of related work experience;
• Or Bachelor's Degree with two years of related work experience.

Related Experience:

• Must have team coaching experience (note: some positions may require team coaching experience at an NCAA I, II, III, NAIA, Junior College or high school level)

Schedule Requirements

• Variable work schedule.
• Frequent travel during game and recruiting seasons.
