Job Description

• The University Athletics department is recruiting for an Assistant Manager, Athletic Equipment.
• The Assistant Manager, Athletic Equipment, assists the Assistant Athletic Director, Equipment and Inventory with all areas of the Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) equipment room to include the forecasting of equipment needs, allocation, procurement and receipt, maintenance, repair, replacement, and proper handling and safe keeping of equipment assets, inventory for all ICA sponsored sports and all safety aspects of player equipment.
• The incumbent assists the director with visiting football teams to coordinate pre-game and game-day activities.
• The Assistant Manager assists in the supervision of all equipment room temporary staff and student workers.
• The incumbent attends all football home games, is required to travel evening and weekends extensively, and travels with the football team to away sites to insure proper preparation of competition gear and game set up.
• The position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director, Equipment and Inventory.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree with no related work experience
• Or Bachelor's Degree with one year of related work experience
• Or Associate's Degree with two years of related work experience
• Or High School Graduation with three years of related work experience

Related Experience:

• Experience working as an athletic equipment and/or inventory manager in an equipment room in professional sports or at an NCAA institution
• Budget oversight and supervision of staff.
