Assistant/Associate Athletic Director, Athletic Operations

Job Summary

The Department of Athletics, a Division I member of the NEC, is seeking applications for the full-time position of Assistant/Associate Athletic Director, Athletic Operations, who reports to the Deputy Director of Athletics. This position has primary responsibility including oversight of all aspects of facilities, equipment operations, game day operations. Position Description

• Provides direct oversight of facilities, equipment operations, event management, and the student-athlete advisory committee.
• Serves as primary sport administrator for multiple sports.
• Lead and supervise our student-athlete advisory committee.
• Assist in the facility management and access for all Athletics facilities including offsite facilities.
• Assists with long range planning to help ensure the department achieves goals outlined in strategic plan.
• Manage activation of corporate partnerships in coordination with Associate Director for Development.
• Serves as the point of contact person for facilitating outsourced services during events (i.e. concessions, facilities/grounds, security, custodial).
• Hire, train and supervise interns, students, external event staff and volunteers who work with operations area of Athletic Department.
• Manage the Athletics facility master calendar, including but not limited to the scheduling of games, & special events.
• Develops, implements, and assesses key initiatives and actions to achieve departmental goals.
• Builds and sustains relationships with a wide variety of constituents across the department and the University.
• Reviews and revises departmental policy and procedure manual.
• Attends home and away athletic events as required.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a University driving background check.
• Evidence of effective leadership in athletics and the ability to motivate others.
