Job Summary

Seeking applications for a full-time Baseball Assistant Coach. This position assists in direction and administrative oversight of the intercollegiate baseball program relative to successful athletic performance, recruitment and retention of student-athletes, and providing the necessary leadership for a positive competitive environment for student-athletes.

• Ability to interact and represent well with a diverse constituency of students, faculty, alumni and media.

Assists in practices and games

• Provides leadership and guidance necessary for a positive competitive environment for the Student Athletes.
• Is responsible for physical and mental preparation both in season and off season.
• Works closely with a positional group defensively
• Helps to implement offensive game plan, with a focus on hitting

Assists in recruitment of potential student-athletes

• Demonstrates an ability to identify, evaluate, and recruit potential student-athletes
• Maintains an organized network of players, coaches, and contacts throughout the industry
• Displays an ability to follow through on given tasks as it pertains to recruiting

 Works with Head Coach to complete administrative details for the sport

• Performs various tasks (travel, scheduling, budgeting) to assist in the operation of the program
• Responsible for travel arrangements, funds for travel and assignment of officials when appropriate.
• Assists in ordering/cataloging equipment
• Works with Athletic trainer, strength coach, sports information director as a liaison

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-5 year's experience
