Job Summary

Summary

• Position is a full-time, twelve-month professional exempt appointment.
• Responsibilities will include coaching, recruiting, budgeting for softball, a second assignment in athletics, and teaching activity classes.
• Require work on weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Reports to the Director of Athletics.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coach the intercollegiate Division III Softball program.
• Recruit qualified student athletes.
• Develop a schedule of contests for each season.
• Make appropriate arrangements for travel to out of town contests.
• Assume position of 2nd assignment in Athletic Department as determined by the athletic director.
• Develop and propose a softball budget annually.
• Manage expenditures within the allocation.
• Teach activity classes.
• Abide by NCAA and SCAC Div. III Softball rules.
• Cooperates and collaborates with other employees.
• Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
• Hire and mentor a full-time assistant coach. 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Master's degree, preferred
• Coaching experience, preferably at Division III level.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in the recruitment of student athletes and the instructional aspects of coaching.
