Staff Accountant

Job Summary

Purpose:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the day to day accounting functions for the Finance department.  The person will report to the Vice President of Finance.

The Staff Accountant will work with all departments for receivables and payables and analysis projects.

This position will also be responsible for vault maintenance and assist with cash controls for games and events, therefore this role will require attendance at most events, including some evenings and weekends.

Essential Functions/ Major Responsibilities: 

• Account Payables 
• Manage per diem/cash requests
• Manage Accounts Payable process
• Create processes to improve efficiency 
• Process all accounts payable 
• Resolve discrepancies on statements
• Track, record and reconcile all credit card transactions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with applicable accounting coursework
• Attention to detail; strong organizational capability
• Availability for game day work on weekends and occasional off-hours as needed
• Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to work independently when needed
• Proven ability to handle confidential information
• Proficient in all Microsoft office applications
• Proficient in QuickBooks
•  Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting 
• Experience: Proficient in QuickBooks and all Microsoft office applications
