Job Summary
Summary of Job Duties:
The Sr. Associate Director of Athletics Athlete Brand Development and Inclusive Excellence will serve as Sports Administrator for assigned sports program(s), in conjunction with Head Coach(es) while also providing key leadership for the newly created Athlete Brand Development unit; focused on NCAA Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) legislation as well as provide leadership on departmental efforts to vie for the NCAA Diversity and Inclusion Award and similar recognitions.
A crucial aspect of this position will be the development and implementation of action plans to assist in advancing all aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Department of Athletics, while serving as the Department of Athletics, diversity, and inclusion designee to the NCAA.
In conjunction with Name, Image, and Likeness working group and Walton College of Business and Office of Student-Athlete Development, they will develop overall Brand Building and NIL Educational curriculum for all student-athletes. This individual will also be responsible for establishing and creating business focused educational opportunities in conjunction with the Associate Director of Student-Athlete Development for greater career enhancement while performing the designated responsibilities as the Primary Sports Administrator designated sport(s).
This position will have direct oversight and management of the head coaches, assistant coaches, and direct support staff as the sports administrator. This includes graduate assistants as well as interns. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for future staff growth and development opportunities while working to grow and enhance other equity measures and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Minimum of three (3) years of experience overseeing the traditional external relations and communications components of a Division I college athletics program

Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with faculty and staff to facilitate and influence change within a D1 athletics program
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Master's degree in communications, sports management, or closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education

Experience at a BCS level athletics program
-
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks

Supervisory experience

Demonstrated professionalism in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships
