Athletic Director

Job Summary

 


The Athletic Director is responsible for the overall management of the intercollegiate athletics program, establishing and adhering to policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of Federal Law, the University, respective leagues/conferences in which athletic teams compete, and the NCAA.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent external relations and revenue generating skils.
• Expert leadership, persuasion and public administration skills.
• Ability to create, implement, assess, and shape the direction of programs and policies based on system needs and strategic, University-level goals and objectives.
• Ability to direct and manage multiple complex units.
• Ability to manage multiple conferences and divisions.
