Assistant Director, Athletics Development

Job Summary

Summary

The Assistant Director, Athletics Development is a professional fund-raising position reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director, Annual Giving in Athletics. The Assistant Director of Development will lead the development, planning, and staging of special events and hospitality in Athletics and for the Green Wave Club.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with staging and planning events
• Ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with external constituencies and prospective donors 
• Excellent organizational skills, to include the ability to prioritize projects and meet established deadlines
• Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary in the performance of assigned duties is required
• Ability to be fiscally responsible with all events and hospitality expenses 

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of event management, hospitality, operations, or transferable experience (marketing, admissions, public relations, alumni relations, volunteer management, or sales experience) 

OR

• High School diploma or equivalent and 7 years of event management, hospitality, operations, or transferable experience (marketing, admissions, public relations, alumni relations, volunteer management, or sales experience)
