Job Summary

 
The Promotions and Community Affairs Manager is responsible for: planning and executing the promotional calendar for all 48 home games, heightening the fan experience through high-quality entertainment and working with the sales staff to activate sold game elements. 
 
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Work in all aspects of professional baseball to gain an understanding of the business
  • Manage appearance schedule for front office staff, players/coaches and mascot
  • Write game day scripts to ensure accurate implementation of all promotions, sales, and sponsorship commitments for all games

  • Support the creation and development of in-game elements including on-field promotions, fan interactive elements, mascot skits, music, etc.

  • Develop, prepare for and participate in various theme nights

  • Work with Corporate Sales department to develop possible sponsorship opportunities

  • Supervise promotions interns

 
Qualifications:

  • Creative, energetic and proactive mentality with an event mindset

  • Enthusiasm for creating and directing elements of game entertainment

  • Highly organized, quick learner and ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage and work well with different personalities

  • Ability to learn and master new software programs as necessary

 
Job Requirements:

  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with fans

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required

  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
