Job Summary

 

SUMMARY

The Manager, Social Media Sponsorships oversees the development and execution of sponsored social media programs. This person is a self-motivated, organized and assertive individual within the social media team taking on the primary role in the planning and execution of partner and sponsor programs across all social channels.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Work closely with supervisor, greater social media team and other stakeholders to strategically evolve the way in which we develop and package social content and activation strategies for partners

  • Work with analytics team to deliver reporting and KPI tracking on sponsored social programs

  • Provide continuous feedback and education on social media best practices to internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver optimal sponsored content experiences 

  • Stay on top of evolving social/digital behaviors and apply insights into creative and strategic approach to content


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION 

  • 4-7 years’ experience in social media, digital marketing, and/or content creation for a Sports, Media, or Lifestyle brand

  • A strong understanding of social media and digital analytics with the ability to articulate insights and form strategic recommendations 

  • Well-developed and continuously honed knowledge of the social media platform landscape, IT products and opportunities for sponsor integration

  • Demonstrable professional capability with Microsoft Office Suite – especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong creative development skills as well as excellent copywriting with a focus on succinctness, wit, humor, and quality storytelling

  • Established digital and content production experience

  • Exhibits excellent attention to detail 

  • Ability to work in groups and manage a large number of projects at a given time

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays and travel as required

  • Successful completion of post-secondary education (Bachelor's Degree) required
