Security Manager

Job Summary

• Supervise and develop direct reports.

• Coordination of activities with other departments and outside agencies.


• Training of security personnel to include reviewing and updating Post Orders and policies


• Oversee the inventory and maintenance of department assets


• Assist in the development of plans for events


• Traffic planning for major events


• Coordination of multi-modal transportation systems relating to major events


• Assist guests with security related issues

• Excellent written and oral communication skills 


• Above average working knowledge of Excel, Access and Word program


• Knowledge of budgets and budget processes


• Bachelor’s Degree preferred


• At least two (2) years experience in law enforcement, traffic management, event planning or related field.


• Possess or be eligible for a Non-Commissioned Security License

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 


• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
