Athletics, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Associate Director

Job Summary

The position will have oversight of all aspects of DEI education and training for student-athletes, coaches and staff within the athletics department. The position will also work collaboratively with the University's Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Campus Life.

Responsibilities

• Work with department and University constituents to implement principles and policies for the effective recruitment and retention of staff members and student-athletes of underrepresented groups.
• Liaison to the University Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
• Serve as department's NCAA athletics diversity and inclusion designee.
• Adhere to all University, Ivy League, ECAC and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master's or professional degree required
• 5-7 years or more work experience
• Qualified individuals should be able to articulate a strong commitment to diversity and have the ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Demonstrated skills at building collaborative relationships with internal and external colleagues
• Experience with curriculum/content development
• Relevant experience developing and facilitating training on a wide range of diversity and inclusion topics, concepts, and social constructs, etc.
• The ability to communicate effectively with various constituencies
• Ability to work with a high degree of flexibility in a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
• Experience with budgeting, financial controls and fiscal accountability
• The willingness to work flexible and long hours, including evenings and weekends
