Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Fitness and Aquatics is responsible for the overall planning, assessment, and coordination of all fitness and aquatics programming and supports the associate director with regard to the vision and planning of all Campus Recreation (CR) wellbeing functions.

This position provides oversight of 20,000 square feet of fitness space, three group fitness studios, and programming schedules. Also:

• Serves as the aquatic pool operator at the Student Recreation Center responsible for the overall planning and operation, maintenance, assessment and risk management of both indoor and outdoor pools.
• Supervises the fitness coordinator, aquatics coordinator, graduate assistant and undergraduate staff in both aquatics and fitness.
• Assists with special event coordination.
