Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Head Men's Basketball Coach, provides leadership and oversight for all aspects of the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Program.

Duties, Responsibilities, Task, & Assignments:

• Provides leadership for all aspects of men's basketball to ensure a highly successful program.
• Provides appropriate leadership, direction and supervision relevant to the academic progress.
• Provides assistance to the Head Coach, men's basketball with activities associated with the program and student-athletes including, but not limited to, recruitment, on-the-floor coaching, video work, and community involvement.
• Supports the student-athlete concept and demonstrates concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete.
• Provides reports and information concerning the men's basketball program as required.
• Supports and monitors academic performance and social development of student athletes.
• Participates in public relations activities including social media campaigns, newspaper, television, radio interviews and news conferences to promote a positive image of the Athletic Department and the College.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Position subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
