We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to work in our Front Desk, with an outstanding presence and manner you will be responsible of registering members, provide accurate information and promote the gym.

Successful Front Desk will:

Be Enthusiastic, Empathetic and Caring. When members or leads approach the front desk to check in or ask for information is the perfect time to shine! Understanding how that person is feeling and being empathetic can provide comfort to people as an overall experience factor.

Willing to Go Above and Beyond. At GYMAGE we are willing to go above and beyond to make our clients happy. Don’t think this job only entails answering the phone, emails and processing check-ins. We need an energetic and happy team!

Be A Great Ambassador for GYMAGE. As a Front Desk, you will most probably be the first and last person our clients will interact with. That been said, you will be the “face of the gym” to most members. As such, whoever takes on this role you should be a great ambassador understanding what we stand for and able to communicate this well to everyone.

Engage and Drive Revenues. The ability to engage with members and leads to have meaningful conversations is very important to the success of GYMAGE. An amazing Front Desk employee should be able to ask questions and provide a great and personalized experience while driving sales and converting as much leads into members as possible.

Always Smiling. It’s true. The most genuine and warm smile can cure even the worst of days. A great Front Desk should be smiling 100% of the time. Yes, we know that there are days when we don’t feel like smiling, but an awesome Front Desk member should be ready to come to work with a smile.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification will be a plus.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of previous customer service experience.
  • Experience in sales and operations with gym management software (Software ABC) will be a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Excel for planning customers’ times and have excellent organizational and follow-up skills.

Skills needed

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a strong customer service focus.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and results oriented
  • Excellent communication skills (team spirit / flexibility), reliability.
  • Speak English and Spanish.
  • Independent, with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to multi-task and perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Membership Software knowledge will be a plus.

Customer Service duties will include:

  • Greeting members and guests upon arrival.
  • Upholding the Gymage brand’s core values of optimism, gratitude, excellence, consistency and empathy.
  • Answering incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Checking in members and verifying membership.
  • Registering prospective members. This includes collecting leads at the point of enrolment and from the current member based through relationship building and referral tables.
  • Following up with members that have enrolled to ensure we are exceeding expectations.
  • Promoting the Training Program, re-engaging inactive members.
  • Addressing members’ questions or direct them to the appropriate individual for better assistance.
  • Selling supplements and retail items to members, ringing up purchases on the sales system and provide accurate change.
  • Maintaining a professional image and behaviour at all times- avoid eating, sitting, reading, internet surfing, using a personal cell phone or other activities that are not work related.
  • Ensuring that all guests are given the “Fitness Tour” when touring guests around the gym, providing knowledgeable information adapted to their needs.
  • Providing information to members regarding special club events.
  • Other general duties may be asked to perform.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
