Fitness Room Attendant/Trainer

Job Summary

The Athletics Department seeks a Fitness Room Attendant/Trainer - Part-Time to instruct in exercise activities and on proper equipment usage as well as monitor sports equipment usage by fitness center visitors following established rules.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shows new users how to use equipment in one-on-one or group orientation sessions. Responds to equipment users' questions in the safe setup, operation, and dismantling of equipment.
• Maintains safe and clean facilities, ensuring that equipment is sanitized on a daily basis.
• Initiates requests and obtains approval for all equipment repairs, replacement, or disposal.
• Fills out incident report forms after accidents or injuries related to equipment use or mishandling.
• Wears appropriate uniform, attire, and protective gear, if required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have current certifications for CPR, AED and First Aid.
• Must be in good physical condition possessing adequate body strength to handle equipment.
• Flexibility to work outside normal college business hours, weekends, or holidays.
• Ability to work in a team environment with flexible work hours as needed for scheduled college events.
